Artist Statement  My paintings and drawings reflect a universal connection between the human spirit and the imagination. Organic lines emerging into human figures and naturalistic images define the essence of my work. The loose flow of color contrasting with deliberate patterning mirror my affective response to painting. Self-taught as an artist my work has become an integral part of my life, a concentration of my soul, and a journal of my experiences.
